Zeal of Xander assisting grieving parents with navigating through the traumatic experience of child loss. Through partnership and diligence, they invoke strength and confidence to enhance the quality of their new lives.


Breastfeeding Family Friendly Communities of Durham fosters a more breastfeeding and family friendly Durham by advocating for policies and practices that support breastfeeding, chestfeeding and human milk feeding, as outlined by the WHO.

FOB is a programmatic offering of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship (CASE) and is administrated by the Office of Student Life for the Daytime MBA program. FOB matches pairs of Duke MBA students with local Durham nonprofits to serve as non-voting board members.


North Carolina Central University is a state Historically Black University in Durham, NC. NCCU partners with EBB by sponsoring interns for an EBB internship.


Book Harvest provides an abundance of books and ongoing literacy support to families and their children from birth and serves as a model for communities committed to ensuring that children are lifelong readers and learners.


The Durham Salt Cave offers a relaxing and restorative environment in our community. They use Halotherapy, or dry salt therapy, to promote healing, better breathing, and healthier skin.

Communities in Partnership (Durham): We believe that communities are stronger when people know and trust each other. By building trust we are able to address the conditions that impact us.

SAFEchild, NC (Stop Abuse For Every child) supports families having a wide range of needs. Expertly trained professionals and volunteers build strong families in which parents nurture thriving children.


Living Arts Collective (LAC) is a co-creative space for innovative artistic expression, embodied movement, dance, education, healing arts, and community building. 

Saint Saviour's Center is a community service org that addresses unmet needs for low-income residents of Wake County. Will provide diapers for children up to 3


Nugget Comfort is based out of Durham, NC and creates play furniture for children. Nugget partnered with EBB to raise funds and awareness for the Black Maternal Health crisis. In 2021 Nugget raised $100,000 in support of EBB

PairTree is a matching organization for families seeking to adopt and birthers looking for a family to adopt to. They simplify the process and utilize technology to help families find each other.

Helius provides training and coaching for small businesses and necessity-driven entrepreneurs. We work closely with small business owners to help them earn and pay a fair living wage.

Amir Institute’s mission is to provide families (from cradle to career) with the necessary tools to be successful. Education is the key to success!


Family Connects Durham is a community-wide nurse home visiting program for all parents of newborns, regardless of income or socioeconomic status. Registered nurses support all families in Durham County, North Carolina by providing no-cost postpartum home visits.

Durham Volunteer Doulas is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded in July 2018 to address the need for affordable, accessible, and high-quality doula care in Durham, NC and in the triangle region.

Emerald Doulas provides evidence-based, trauma-informed, birth & postpartum doula support, classes, & free support groups for women & other birthing people & their families within a non-judgemental community of care.


EPiC (Empowered Parents in Community) is dismantling systemic racism with intentional organization of Black parents to better support student's educational needs and close the opportunity gap 


Black Coalition for Safe Motherhood's mission is to improve Black Maternal Health through promotion of Healthcare Advocacy and Holistic Community Support of birthing people


StandUp SpeakOut: We continue the fight to end sexual assault and domestic violence through advocacy, prevention training,  group therapy, mentoring and a fundamental concept for survivors called Healing Thru Art.
